Adventure fans get ready! We had the pleasure of interviewing Coree Woltering from the first all African American and LGBTQIA Adventure Racing Team. Coree is a member of Team Onyx who will be competing on WORLD’S TOUGHEST RACE: ECO-CHALLENGE FIJI. See the full interview on Instagram here. Team Onyx will be the first entirely African-American adventure racing team to compete on the global stage. The team features a mixture of gay and straight athletes made up of a former Marine, former Navy SEAL and Crossfit gym owner, a record holding ultra-marathoner, skilled ultra endurance mountain biker and a filmmaker and former basketball player. 417 miles of dense jungles, steep mountains, winding rivers, treacherous oceans, and dangerous swamps in breathtaking Fiji will test their physical and mental endurance. Death defying activities include outrigger paddling, mountain biking, rappelling, climbing, whitewater rafting, and epic hiking trails. Hosted by celebrity survival expert Bear Grylls (MAN VS. WILD, RUNNING WILD) and executive produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, THE VOICE).
