Classical Music: Petrichor Competition Promotes Artistic Diversity
Petrichor Records is an independent record label specializing in contemporary classical music by living musicians. Petrichor Records is committed to giving release and performance opportunities to the new works by living composers worldwide and promoting young musicians with educational and performance opportunities. Petrichor Records Project's mission has the following stages:
1- Finding new voices in the field of contemporary music and dedicating the required time and effort to the emerging artists to realize their artistic projects.
2- Working closely with the established artists of contemporary music from different countries to propose new projects in the form of concerts, albums, sound installations, conceptual performances, etc.
3- Creating opportunities for today's musicians by planning competitions and pedagogical events collaborating with world-renowned artists.
The second annual Petrichor International Music Competition is now open for submissions.

All participants receive the Complementary Course by iClassical Academy including lifetime access to six music masterclasses (worth $150).
Categories:
1. Solo performers under the age of 16 (born in or after 2006)
Total cash prizes: $1000
2. Solo performers under the age of 21 (born in or between 2001-2005)
Total cash prizes: $2000
3. Solo performers over the age of 21 (born in or before 2000)
Total cash prizes: $3000
4. Small ensembles (fewer than 9 performers)
Total cash prizes: $3000
5. Large ensembles/orchestras/choirs (more than 9 performers)
Total cash prizes: $4000
6. Composers under the age of 21 (born in or after 2001)
Total cash prizes: $2000
7. Composers over the age of 21 (born in or before 2000)
Total cash prizes: $3000
8. Electronic compositions or multidisciplinary works

9. Film/video game/animation music

10. Arrangements of pre-existing works

All winners receive Petrichor Premium Promotion Package (PPPP) including press/media exposure + online recital + feature on Petrichor website + official certificate.
Participation will be conducted entirely online, and the musicians will be asked to submit either video, score or audio of their work.
Jury Panel
The applications will be reviewed by a jury panel consisting of world-renowned musicians from The Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music, Eastman School of Music, and Mannes School of Music.
