Live Music Tribute in Rome: Holy Deer Unplugged

Live Performances: a Musical Tribute to Rome, to Italy, and to All the World.

In this difficult and delicate period, the San Lorenzo Lodges, brand of Italian excellence in the field of high end hospitality, feel particularly close to artists and musicians. The lodges are demonstrating special affection and respect by offering singers and instrumentalists a stage of particular historical and artistic importance: from the balcony of the Holy Deer San Lorenzo City Lodge famous artists are invited to perform. These concerts convey an important message of hope and confidence. Music has largely been shut down due to the ongoing pandemic, but it has never ceased to evoke the strongest of emotions. Holy Deer Unplugged is a tribute to all those operating in a sector that is suffering terribly; it is a tribute to the Eternal City, to Italy and to music lovers everywhere. On the facade of the Sant’Agnese in Agone Church in Piazza Navona – a square known throughout the world for Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s spectacular Four Rivers fountain – there is a small balcony, through which can be spied stunning frescoed ceilings. That balcony and those ceilings were part of Pope Innocent X’s official residence in the sixteenth century; today, they belong to the “Holy Deer San Lorenzo City Lodge”. This exclusive property – known for its extraordinary style and artistic luxury – tastefully intertwines history and art to create unique and unforgettable experiences. The Holy Deer San Lorenzo City Lodge is, indeed, the ideal setting for high-level artistic performances.

Thanks to these free performances by some of the world’s most acclaimed artists, it is possible to celebrate the beauty and power of music. The Holy Deer Unplugged project is made possible not only by all the Holy Deer staff but thanks to the undisputed expertise and commitment of professionals such as Luca Scota of Strani Rumori (his clients include Andrea Bocelli, Universal, Warner Music, the BBC, Sky TV, etc.), Italian Boulevard (for graphics and art direction), and Communication Plus (for communications and press relations). The inaugural performance was given on November 23 by renowned American soprano Courtney Mills. She has appeared at opera festivals throughout Europe, including the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, the Salzburg Festival in Austria and the Grachenfestival in the Netherlands, and has given numerous concerts in the United States and Africa.
