Nicky Jam, Eva Longoria and Kendji Girac Headlined Global Gift Gala Cannes to Benefit Ukraine
Singers Kendji Girac and Emmanuel Kelly, Hollywood actors Eva Longoria and Amaury Nolasco will be attending the fundraising event along with Global Gift Foundation Founder Maria Bravo
Following the success of the Global Gift Gala Abu Dhabi Dream Ball in December, the Global Gift Gala hosted a star-studded evening including performances and live auction, this time against the French backdrop of Cannes. The event was to raise funds for the Global Gift Foundation campaign 'Heartbeat for Ukraine’ to provide immediate aid to Ukraine’s citizens, and the Eva Longoria Foundation.
The globally-renowned American singer Nicky Jam performed at the Global Gift Gala Cannes on May 19, the 9th edition of the gala, which took place at the JW Marriot Cannes Hotel where stars and philanthropists joined forces to raise awareness of the campaign. The event was also the chosen charity gala of the Cannes Film Festival taking place from 17 May. French singer Kendji Girac, winner of season 3 of The Voice France and Honorary Chair, sang his well-known hit singles and joined the extensive guest list will be Eva Longoria, Honorary Chair, actress, activist and philanthropist, Alejandro Nones, Mexican Actor and many other Global Gifters.
During the evening a live auction was led by leading British auctioneer, Thomas Forrester, and amongst the items available for bidding was the Woonkly Solidarity NFT, supported by all the celebrities and created by renowned Spanish artist, Javier Arrés, winner of the London Art Biennale and pioneer of crypto art. All proceeds from the sale of the Woonkly Solidarity NFT will go to support the 'Heartbeat for Ukraine’ fund. After this unique Woonkly Solidary NFT is sold, Woonkly will open the Whitelist of its Solidarity collection. Woonkly was founded by Spanish businessman, entrepreneur, influencer and philanthropist Daniel Santos, and is the first decentralised social network based on Solidary NFTs and IPFS. The company supports social causes by creating NFT collections of international talent.
About The Global Gift Gala
The Global Gift Gala is an international initiative from the Global Gift Foundation, a charity founded by Spanish actress and philantropreneur, Maria Bravo. Its goal is to raise funds and make a difference to children and women around the world. Maria said, “Given the humanitarian crisis that is happening in Ukraine right now, we are using the Foundation’s international network to raise as much as possible with 100% of proceeds going to help the families who are being affected. We are very grateful to have the support of so many individuals across the world.”

The evening also recognised Hollywood actor and philanthropist, Amaury Nolasco, who was awarded the Global Gift Philanthropist Award. Iraqi singer, Emmanuel Kelly, was awarded the Global Gift Humanitarian Award and entrepreneur Tomás Laso-Argos, was presented with the Global Gift eGoWorld Award for Empowering Global Opportunities.
The event was supported by partner Ego World, a web3 company exploring big ideas in identity, ownership, utility & interoperability to push the crypto, meta and NFT space forward, founded by Alejandro Saez.
The evening’s inspirational sponsor is Asterius Tech, a venture capital fund founded by Javier Garcia Perez, which specialises in technological and innovative startups, investing in people not projects. Asterius Tech is the sponsor of many solidarity projects together with Global Gift Foundation, including The Ranch in Spain, a training and socialising space where children with special needs and refugees can play and learn.
