The Power Couple Behind Mouthwatering VickyCakes
Power couple Christian and Cortney launched Vicky Cakes in 2019 not realizing how quickly it would take off. From Good Morning America to Beyoncé this brand is all the buzz!
As a single mom of four in the late ‘70s, Vicky created this delicious wholesome recipe out of necessity for her children. Then, word spread around town and soon family and friends couldn’t resist her light and fluffy pancakes. In 2013, her youngest daughter, Christian decided to make those pancakes for her husband, Cortney. Cortney fell in love with the recipe and suggested they make a business. Christian was hesitant but six years later, during the pandemic she decided to go for it!
Vicky Cakes became available on Amazon Thanksgiving weekend of 2019, and Walmart.com in January of 2020. It went on to become available on many online marketplaces and at local grocery stores across the country. In June of 2020 during the pandemic, Vicky Cakes was featured on ABC’s Good Morning America television show on Deals & Steals. GMA viewers fell in love with the brand, the story and the products. Vicky Cakes sold 154,000 bags of pancake mix in less than 24 hours.
This irresistible pancake mix has been featured in Complex, Food Network, Delish and several others. They also were recipients of Beyoncé’s BeyGood small business grant.
