UAE President Thanks Armed Forces, Visits Injured Civilians Amid Ongoing Conflict
In his first public remarks since the recent conflict with Iran began, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed (MBZ) reaffirms the UAE's resolve to stay strong and protect its people. During a visit to civilians injured in the attacks, he offered words of support and gratitude.
Sheikh Mohamed praised the armed forces and national security institutions for their service and composure during what he called a critical time. He thanked them for their role in keeping the country secure and for the “outstanding service” they continue to provide.
Speaking to the wounded and their families, he expressed his best wishes for recovery and reassured them that the entire nation stands with them. “We will carry out our duty towards our country, our people, and our residents who are also part of our family,” he said.

His comments came as the UAE continues to respond to the latest wave of regional hostilities that began last week. The visit marked one of the president’s few public appearances since the conflict started, and his words focused heavily on unity and mutual care across the country.
In his official statement, Sheikh Mohamed directed a message to everyone who lives in the UAE, citizens and residents alike. He said the nation’s top priority remains the safety of all people within its borders.
“The UAE places its security and the protection of all citizens, residents, and visitors at the very top of its priorities,” he stated. He added that the country is fully prepared to face any threat that may arise.
He continued by thanking the nation’s defense and security forces, as well as emergency teams and public institutions, for their commitment and cooperation. “They represent the highest standards of readiness and cooperation. We are truly proud of them,” he said.
Sheikh Mohamed also noted his appreciation for what he described as the awareness and unity shown by both Emiratis and residents. He emphasized that the community’s response has reflected the shared values that define the UAE.
“I would also like to underscore my sincere gratitude for the awareness shown by our community of Emiratis and our resident brothers and sisters,” he said. “Partners in this nation who have expressed their genuine love and loyalty to the UAE through both words and actions.”
He ended by saying that everyone who contributes to the country’s growth and well-being, regardless of background, plays a vital role in its identity. “In the UAE, everyone is Emirati through their love for this land and their contributions to it,” he said.
