Celebrity Designer Christian Cowan Showcases New Fall/Winter Collection at NYFW

Celebrity designer Christian Cowan showcased his new Fall/Winter 2026 collection during New York Fashion Week at the intimate studio on 450 West 31st in Manhattan and Nikoleta Morales was there to capture it. The collection was inspired by “Old Hollywood” glam and the show, titled Before the Door Opens, delivered an intimate look into the era.
“My inspiration this season was really a lot of Old Hollywood and bringing the underpinning
that people were wearing then into modern day time,” shared Cowan after the show for
Cultured Focus Magazine.
The collection was showcased in front of an intimate crowd, which included celebrities like Julia Fox, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Bebe Rexha, Katherine Hughes, Branden Cook, Spencer House, Amaya “Papaya” Espinal, among others. The space was filled with sophistication, glamour, high-end fashion and excitement.
“There is something powerful about that private ritual, when you are alone with the
mirror and deciding who you are about to be. This season, I wanted to expose that process and make it the spectacle itself,” said Cowan.
The designs felt intimate, mesmerizing and dramatic. In his designs, Cowan incorporated a mix of 1950s textiles, antique lace trims and corsetry techniques. The setting felt private, yet iconic, and the models transported the audience into an era that felt nostalgic and yet distant, powerful and yet elegant.
“This season I became really interested in the private moments that happen before you step into the world. The bedroom, the dressing room, the ritual of getting ready. I wanted to explore the transformation that happens in that space where a person turns into a character,” said Cowan in regards to this season’s inspiration.
The collection consisted of backless silk gowns, corsets, bullet bras, waist cinchers, and
foundation pieces that balanced high glam with intimacy.
Cowan founded his collection of womenswear and accessories in 2017. He is based in New York and was born in Spain but raised in England. He has dressed celebrities like Sidney Sweeney, Bebe Rexha, Naomi Campbell, Jenifer Lopez, among others.
